The PTI on weekday filed a petition before the Supreme Court (SC) to challenge the Sept half-dozen order of the national capital state supreme court (IHC) that affected down the party’s plea against “piecemeal” acceptance of its lawmakers' resignations.
Last week, the IHC fired the PTI’s petition against National Assembly (NA) Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and therefore the commission of Islamic Republic of Pakistan (ECP) for ‘piecemeal’ acceptance of the resignations of its MNAs.The PTI stirred the IHC difficult the acceptance of resignations of solely eleven party lawmakers out of a complete of 123.

PTI leader and former government minister Asad Umar has challenged the IHC finding of fact before the apex court. Advocate Faisal ibn Abdel Aziz al-Saud Chaudhry filed the petition on the behalf of the PTI.
In its petition, the PTI pleaded with the apex court to declare the IHC’s Sept half-dozen finding of fact as null and void.
The petitioner requested the highest court to declare the ‘piecemeal' acceptance of its lawmakers’ resignations by Speaker Raja Pervaiz as extralegal and unconstitutional.
“The PTI had determined to resign from the National Assembly to urge a contemporary mandate from the folks,” the petition aforementioned, adding that then metallic element acting speaker Qasim Khan Suri had declared to just accept the resignations of the PTI lawmakers on the ground.
“Piecemeal acceptance of MPs’ resignations by metallic element Speaker Raja Pervaiz may be a violation of the established rules,” scan the petition.
It is pertinent to say that a PTI MNA had challenged the acceptance of his resignation within the IHC, voice communication he failed to resign from his seat.
While hearing the petition, IHC jurist ottar Minallah remarked that the PTI’s as a group resignations became suspicious as a lawgiver from the party aforementioned he failed to resign from his National Assembly seat.
