The West Pakistan|national capital} court (IHC) on weekday suspended a notification from the committee of Pakistan (ECP) for declaring NA-246 Lyari as vacant on the request of PTI leader Shakoor Shad.

The ECP declared the seat vacant when National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf accepted resignations of eleven PTI MNAs.

Shakoor Shad, however, later approached the court and pleaded that he had not submitted the resignation in person and it had been rather forwarded by the party to that he had submitted to indicate commonness with the then prime minister Imran Khan.

The IHC these days directed the PTI MNA Shakoor Shad to affix the proceedings of the National Assembly and issued notices to speaker and National Assembly secretariat for his or her response on the matter.

It is pertinent to say here that the committee of Asian nation (ECP) has delayed the scheduled by-elections in thirteen constitutions.

The decision was taken by the ECP in a very high-level session chaired by chief election commissioner (CEC) ruler Sikandar Raja concerning the organisation of by-elections.

It has been set that the by-polls scheduled for Sept. 11, Sep twenty five and October two are going to be delayed and therefore the new dates are going to be proclaimed presently. The committee aforesaid that the by-poll was postponed because of the devastating rains and floods.
